System Specifications
Contros™ is currently compatible with most PCs using Internet Explorer Browser.
- Browser Compatibility - You can find the version by opening up browser and clicking on help and then about. Contros is compatible with IE 5.5 or better. Contros is also compatible with the latest versions Firefox—however, there are subtle differences in functionality that are outlined where applicable in this User Guide.
- JavaScript Requirement - Both Contros and Contros-based sites require that JavaScript be enabled.
- Operating System Compatibility - We designed Contros-based sites to be compatible with Windows 2000 or XP.
- Resolution Compatibility - You can find this by right clicking on desktop and going to properties and then settings. Industry Standards are 1024x768 and we also tried to make site compatible with 800x600 although Contros doesn't fully support that resolution.
- Pop-Up Requirement - Contros requires that pop-ups be enabled/allowed.
- PC-based compatibility—although many features are available using MAC, the system is not fully compatible using MAC systems.
FTP Specifications:
Contros allows you to chose your host provider. If another company other than PILR will be hosting your site and you will be using Contros, then the following requirements apply:
- The other hosting company must have an FTP account setup for the customer’s website folder so that Contros can FTP into.
- The customer must provide PILR the IP, Username, Password, and Port Number for that FTP account.
